What started as a Rs. 9,000 mistake in 1997 has turned into an enlightening concept. Customer Math takes a look at the real world where the concept of customer satisfaction is known but not adhered to.

Customer Math Contest
Various elements of the contest are as follows: Announcement of the contest. The Contest can be based on appropriate theme. We can suggest various alternative themes.
Team members will be urged to participate in the contest. In order to participate in the contest, the team members will have to write a 1-2 page write-up in their own words on "What the formula on the pin-up poster means to him/her and the organization?" Participants will be encouraged to use examples from their work experience at the company and at other companies as well as their personal experiences as a customer. They will also be encouraged to state what specific action, if any, they can take to make sure that the meaning and intent of the formula is translated into benefits for themselves as well as the company. In order to do this effectively, they will have to read the book which will assist in reinforcing the concept as well as in internalizing the concept.
The best 5-10 write-ups every month will get a prize. At the end of the year, three of these winners will get a grand prize. The above will hopefully motivate the team members to talk about the formula and its meaning which would assist in internalizing the concept.
The write-up of the winners will be circulated by email to all the team members. We believe that reading what their peers have to say about the importance of the customer will have a tremendous impact on the thinking of the people.
Badges with Customer Math formulas will be given to all the team members which they will be asked to wear everyday for a month. Every month, they will get a new pin-up poster and a badge.
Each month, the relevant BIG poster (which has the same formula as the pin-up poster will be put on the notice board and various other locations in the facility including offices of managers.
Depending on the budget, various other Customer Math Accessories (details available on this site) can be used to reinforce the concept and the ideas.
