Workshop on Supply Chain Management
Programme Topic
Supply Chain Management
Programme Detail
A high performing supply chain is one that supports your operations and market strategies and drives integrated planning and execution and is designed to optimize service, inventory, investment and costs.
A business thrives on 4'C' i.e. Cash , Cost , Customer & Continuous improvement of first 3 'C' and optimization of these 4 'C' is the key to success of an organization.

As organizations strive to focus on core competencies and becoming more flexible, they reduce their ownership of raw materials sources and distribution channels. These functions are increasingly being outsourced to other entities that can perform the activities better or more cost effectively.

The effect is increase in the number of organizations involved in satisfying customer demand, while reducing management control of daily logistics operations. The purpose of supply chain management is to improve trust and collaboration among supply chain partners, thus improving inventory visibility and the velocity of inventory movement.

The rapid economic growth has put onus on every industry for an ever increasing YoY growth on both revenues and bottom line. To meet these challenges every executive in your organization should be aware of Value added processes which help improve your revenues and the non-value added activities which erode the bottom line.

Successful SCM requires a change from managing individual functions to integrating activities into key supply chain processes thereby making the supply chain more agile to face the ever increasing challenges.

Supply chain business process integration involves collaborative work between buyers and suppliers, joint product development, common systems and shared information.

The key supply chain processes are:
* Demand management
* Order fulfillment
