Course Description

Innovation is the lifeblood of every company - the fuel that keeps an organization going in a tough marketplace. But by its very nature it's hard to plan for, quantify and coach.

In this 2-day workshop, you will be introduced to the practice of corporate innovation through tried and tested disciplines. You will be guided to apply the process of promoting innovation by identifying important customer needs, crystallizing value propositions and execute on your vision by setting up champions, teams and organizational alignment.

Through case studies and examples, you will learn how to design a framework for innovation and apply proven techniques for driving systematic, repeatable and managed innovation in your company. You will get to design and apply building blocks for a balanced portfolio that integrates incremental and radical innovations to sustain long-term business growth. You will learn to recognize the qualities that distinguish the world's finest innovative companies today.

To complete the learning process, you will get practical tips and exercises on different strategies that you can use to drive creativity in your company from day to day.

About Faculty  
Mr. T. A. Balasubramaniam, B.Tech (IITM), PGDM (IIMC)
(named Tabby for life by well-meaning friends at IIT) is an engineering graduate from IIT, Madras and an alumnus of IIM, Calcutta. For some 15 years he worked in the corporate sector, mainly with ASCI and HPCL, managing computer systems and software, before realizing that his true calling is in the area of "creating and facilitating communications".
For the past 15 years, he runs Maxigen, an Advertising Agency. He writes a humor column for CIOs in Express Computer. His passions, apart from spouse Gita and son Kartikeya, and exploring the mystery of Business Innovation and Knowledge Management, presently include: learning growth; discovery and exploration; meditation, walking, talking and reading.

Tabby has been conducting this workshop since 2007.
